As a new gardener I found the idea of getting rid of the weaker seedlings a bit barbaric. I understand that really I should have thinned out the tomato plants and only keep the strongest ones but I couldn't do that so I kept all the plants and all of the tomatoes. Now that the weather has cooled off and the days are getting noticeably shorter the green ones aren't going to ripen. So I decided to turn my unwanted fruit into some chutney.
